ABOUT Shakkar ka Paratha RECIPE

From my childhood this paratha holds a very special place in my heart. My granny use to make this hot hot parathas for me when returned from school or when I am upset. This paratha has the magic to cheer me up even now. Since it is quick, high in sugar and carbs, gives instant mood lift.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup Wheat Flour
  2. 3 tbsp sugar
  3. Pinch of salt
  4. water or milk to knead the dough
  5. Oil/ghee for pan frying


  1. Knead the dough by adding pinch of salt. Use milk or water and make soft dough.
  2. Take big lemon size dough, roll it as big as puri, put a spoon of sugar and close it just like we do for making stuffed parathas.
  3. Roll it again using dry flour.
  4. On a hot tava fry on both sides using ghee or oil until ready.
