ABOUT Egg Manchurian RECIPE

Very tasty and very easy to make, this is a mouth-watering snack that goes really well with tea.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Egg : 4
  2. Onion : 2
  3. Tomato : 4
  4. Chilli powder : 3 tablespoons
  5. Jeera powder : 2 teaspoons
  6. Garam masala : 2 teaspoons
  7. Tomato sauce : 2 tablespoons
  8. Soya sauce : 2 teaspoons
  9. Maida : 4 tablespoons
  10. Oil : 3 tablespoons
  11. Coriander leaves : one handful
  12. Salt : to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil tomato in water and peel the skin.
  2. Blend to make a tomato puree.
  3. Add eggs in a pan, add little salt and mix well with a spoon.
  4. Pour around 2cups of water in a wide vessel. Put a stand in the middle and place the egg pan on it.
  5. Close the vessel and steam (as is done for idli).
  6. Add enough water in maida to make a fine batter.
  7. Cut the steamed egg into small pieces.
  8. Dip them into the maida batter and deep-fry in hot oil till it becomes golden brown.
  9. In a pan, add 3 tablespoons of oil. Add onions and saute well until they become golden brown.
  10. Add garam masala, chilli powder and jeera powder.
  11. Add soya sauce and tomato sauce. Sauté everything well. Keep on low flame for 3-4 minutes.
  12. Add tomato puree, mix well and keep on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  13. Finally add the fried egg and mix well. Keep on a high flame for 1 minute.
  14. Garnish the Egg Manchurian with coriander leaves and serve hot.
