Ingredients to make onion fritters

  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp carrom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • water, as required
  • oil, for frying

How to make onion fritters

  1. Take flour in a bowl, add salt, carrom seeds, red chilli powder and baking powder and mix well.
  2. Add onions and coriander leaves.
  3. Add enough water to make a thick batter.
  4. Heat oil in a wok and little batter at a time to make thin bhajiyas.
  5. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with your favourite sauce or chutney.
