ABOUT onion fritters RECIPE

pakodas or fritters are made and enjoyed in every household. At my place, all love these simple onion bhajiya served anytime of the day.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup Gram Flour
  2. 1 onion thinly sliced
  3. 2 Tbsp Coriander leaves
  4. 1 tsp Salt
  5. 1/2 tsp carrom seeds
  6. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  8. Water, as required
  9. Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Take flour in a bowl, add salt, carrom seeds, red chilli powder and baking powder and mix well.
  2. Add onions and coriander leaves.
  3. Add enough water to make a thick batter.
  4. Heat oil in a wok and little batter at a time to make thin bhajiyas.
  5. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with your favourite sauce or chutney.
