Ingredients to make Beetroot upma

  • sooji/rawa 1cup roasted
  • Chopped chilli 1no
  • Sliced onion 1no big
  • Greenpeas 1/2cup
  • Beetroot 1 no boiled and pureed
  • mustard seeds 1/2tsp
  • Urad daal 1/2tsp
  • chana daal 1/2tsp
  • curry leaves 1spring
  • curd 1/2cup
  • oil 1tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves

How to make Beetroot upma

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, daals, green chilli, onion. Saute.
  2. Add 1cup water, when it starts to boil, add green peas or any veggies of your choice.
  3. Add salt, sooji, mix well so that no lumps will be there.
  4. Add curd and mix well.
  5. Add beetroot puree.
  6. Finally add chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.

My Tip:

You can skip curd. You can add any veggies of your choice.
