Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 tbspn ghee
  2. 1 cup boiled purple yam
  3. A pinch of salt
  4. 2 tbspns soaked cashews
  5. 2 tbspns soaked almond flakes
  6. 2 cups milk
  7. 3 tbspns sugar


  1. Pre-Preperation: Soak the cashews and almonds separately over-night in water.
  2. Peel the almonds and grate. Pressure cook the purple yam till approximately 3-4 whistles.
  3. Peel the boiled purple yam and cut it into small pieces. Transfer the pieces onto a plate and mash till it turns into a smooth paste.
  4. Next, take the ghee in a non-stick pan. Heat it on medium flame and add the purple yam paste to it.
  5. Stir-fry the paste for 2-3minutes and add a pinch of salt. Next, add the cashews and almond flakes and sauté for a minute.
  6. Now, add milk to the pan and bring it to boil. Add sugar and stir. Simmer for some time. Adjust the sweetness and consistency
  7. Garnish with pistachio flakes and pieces ghee fried purple yam. Serve hot or chilled.
