ABOUT Royal fruit custard RECIPE

Its a refreshing salad and feels comfort. You can take this instead of dinner.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Mixed fruits [Apple , pomegranate,mango, grapes banana] - 2 cups cut into cubes
  2. Dry nuts [Cashews, almonds, pistachios, walnuts] - 1 cup
  3. Ice cream - for topping,
  4. condensed milk - 6 tbsp
  5. Milk - 2 cups
  6. Custard powder - 3 tsp
  7. Sugar - 4 tbsp

Instructions

  1. for the cusrtard Bring to boil the milk and add sugar in a large bottomed vessel. Mean while mix the custard powder with 4 tbsp milk and make a paste in a separate bowl.
  2. Add it to the boiling milk and stir it continuously without any lumps. Do not stop stirring after adding the custard mixture.
  3. When it starts to thicken, remove from flame.
  4. Set aside to cool. Once cooled, grind it for the best result. Grinding it to paste is optional only. Chill for 2 hours for best result.
  5. Assembling the royal fruit custard :::
  6. Mix together the finely chopped fruits with the sweetened condensed milk (milkmaid).
  7. Now take the bowls/cups to serve the fruit salad.
  8. Add the chopped fruits combined with milkmaid (2 TBSP)as the bottom layer.
  9. Layer some chopped NUTS over it. Then layer some YELLOW CUSTARD or plain custard over it.
  10. Again layer the CHOPPED FRUITS, then NUTS, then yellow CUSTARD and repeat the process and finally top it with a scoop of ice cream and some cherries too.
