ABOUT Simple prawn curry RECIPE

A very simple and easy recipe which is not very elaborate and can be eaten with rice or chapati.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 75 grams of medium sized prawns
  2. 2 big onions thinly sliced
  3. Ginger garlic paste 2 table spoons
  4. Coriander n cumin Powder 1 teaspoon each
  5. Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. 1 table spoon sweet and sour tomato sauce
  7. 1 table spoon soya sauce
  8. 1teaspoon sugar
  9. 2 tomatoes sliced
  10. Salt according to your taste


  1. Fry the prawns and keep aside. Heat a wok, add oil and fry onions. Add ginger garlic paste.
  2. Add the tomatoes and cook for a while till they turn pulpy. Add the powdered masalas .
  3. Add the sweet and sour tomato sauce and the soya sauce. Fry for sometime. Add sugar and salt.
  4. Let it cook for a while. Add the fried prawns to the gravy prepared..and simmer for a while. Serve hot with rice or chapati.
