Stuffed Pita breads are loved all around the world. But the great taste of Chana pita or 'Bharwa Kulcha' in North India is to die for. One can not have enough of it. It is easy and fun to make. Healthy & scrumptious that everyone will fall in love with.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 8 small kulcha
  2. 1 cup boiled chick peas
  3. 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  4. 1 small tomato (finely chopped)
  5. 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  6. 1 tablespoon coriander (finely chopped)
  7. 1 teaspoon salt
  8. 1 teaspoon chat masala
  9. 1 teaspoon dry mango powder (optional)
  10. Juice of 2 Lemons

Instructions

  1. Slit all the kulchas from top to middle in order to make a pocket. Keep them aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl add warm boiled chickpeas, onion, tomato, green chilies, coriander, salt, chat masala and dry mango powder. Combine everything well.
  3. Stuff a tablespoon or so to each kulcha pocket. Heat a non sticky pan & warm all the pockets from both sides just before serving.
