ABOUT Panasakhand(jackfruit Shrikhand) RECIPE

Shrikhand is a desert which originally from North India/Maharashtra. Serves good with poori and chapathi.This is prepared using curd,saffron,sugar and cardamom powder.Can be served in mud pot. Jackfruit in called Sanskrit is called as panasa.So i am calling thid as Panasakhand.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ripe Jackfruit...1 cup
  2. Curd.....500gram
  3. Sugar....1/2 cup
  4. Cardamom powder...1/4 spoon
  5. Dryfruits (Cashew & Almond).....3 spoons
  6. Few Saffron
  7. Hot milk....2spoons


  1. Here i used"" Milkey mist fresh curd".
  2. Grind jackfruit in a mix without water.
  3. Add saffron into hot milk.
  4. Take out curd from fridge and whip it using electric beater.
  5. Now add grinded jackfruit(jackfruit puree) into the whipped curd.
  6. Add saffron milk to it
  7. Add dry fruits to it
  8. Tasty Shrikhand is ready.If required , Shrikhand can be kept inside fridge to taste it later.
