  • Orange food color [a pinch]
  • oil [for frying]
  • cardamom powder - 1/4 th tsp

  1. MIX 1 CUP GRAM FLOUR, 1/4 CUP SEMOLINA, TAKE SOME WATER
  2. MIX INTO A SMOOTH BATTER
  3. ADD A PINCH OF ORANGE FOOD COLOUR, MIX
  4. MIX 1 CUP SUGAR INTO 1/2 CUP WATER
  5. BOIL TILL YOU GET A 1 STRING CONSISTENCY SYRUP
  6. ADD 1/4 TSP ORANGE FOOD COLOUR, 1/4 TSP CARDAMOM POWDER, MIX
  7. STRAIN OUT BOONDIS IN HOT OIL USING THE READY BATTER
  8. STIR & FRY ON MEDIUM HEAT
  9. TAKE OFF HEAT WHEN GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP
  10. MIX THE BOONDIS INTO THE SUGAR SYRUP, SET ASIDE FOR 15-20 MINS
  11. BLEND IN A GRINDER
  12. SHAPE GROUND MIX INTO LADDOOS
  13. GARNISH WITH SLIVERED PISTACHIOS
