Ingredients to make Chilly paneer

  • onion - 1
  • green chillies - 2
  • tomato sauce - 1 tbsp
  • chilly sauce - 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce - 1 tsp
  • vinegar - 1 tsp
  • Ajinomoto - 1/4 th tsp
  • cornflour - 1 tbsp
  • Red colour [optional]
  • ginger - 1 inch
  • garlic - 2
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • Refined oil
  • capsicum - 1
  • paneer - 100 gm

How to make Chilly paneer

  1. Dice the paneer into cubes, now make a slurry using cornflour, red color, salt and little water. Marinate the paneer cubes in this and deep fry them in hot oil. Keep aside.
  2. Now to make the gravy, heat some oil and then add chopped garlic and ginger. Let these splutter and then add the chopped green chillies.
  3. Now cut the onion into squares, add these and diced capsicum into the wok. Stir fry them for few seconds and then add the spices.
  4. Add salt, the sauces and ajinamoto. Stir few seconds and then add little water, bring upto boil.
  5. Now dissolve some cornflour in water and add this slurry into the wok. Let this boil and thicken, add the fried paneer pieces. cook for few minutes and then serve hot.
