Ingredients to make Pom's chutney

  • 4 cups of pomegranate kernels
  • jaggery 200 grams
  • Black salt 1/2tsp
  • asafoetida 1 pinch
  • turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Ratanjot powder 1/2tsp
  • Plain salt 1/2tsp

How to make Pom's chutney

  1. BOIL POMEGRANATE KERNELS WITH JAGGERY ON SIMMER HEAT.
  2. ADD 1 SMALL CUP OF WATER TO THE PAN
  3. NOW ADD BLACK SALT TO BOILING KERNELS.
  4. DRY ROAST ASAFOETIDA AND CUMIN SEEDS ON TAWA.
  5. THEN CRUSH THEM INTO MORTAR
  6. AND ADD TO THE WATER , JAGGERY N KERNELS BOILING MIXTURE.
  7. ADD A PINCH OF RATANJOT POWDER ,
  8. DRY GINGER POWDER
  9. AND MIX PROPERLY AND LET IT BOIL FOR 5 MINUTES ON LOW HEAT.
  10. A PINCH OF TURMERIC POWDER
  11. AND FINALLY A PINCH OF PLAIN SALT IS TO BE ADDED.
  12. NOW PUT OFF THE HEAT AND STRAIN THE REDUCTION.
