Methi na gota is a treasure receipe and famous street food, from the traditional households of gujarat! A special recipe prepared on the occasion of holi, dakor na gota is an age old recipe that hails from the village of dakor in gujarat.

Ingredients Serving: 4

1 cup gram flour
1/2 cup semolina
1 1/2 cup chopped fenugreek leaves
1/2 cup buttermilk
3-4 tbsp chopped coriander
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp lemon juice
1-1/2 tsp ginger-green chili paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp crushed peppercorns
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp Fennel seeds
1 tsp whole coriander seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp soda bicarbonate
oil for frying

Instructions

Mix all ingredients to make a thick batter and let it stand for 15-20 mins. The buttermilk makes the gotas light.
Heat oil on a medium low flame and using hand put small portions for deep frying. Fry till golden brown and crisp and remove on a kitchen towel.
Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce
