ABOUT Paan Ki Chaat RECIPE

Paan is leaf which known by betel leaves in English. Mostly whole the Asia or especially in India, people consume paan as mouth freshener after dinner with tobacco or supari. Even paan can be serving in form of Indian sweet or dessert. But this time I had change the role of paan completely.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 12 Paan Leaves
  2. 1/2 cup Besan/Gram flour
  3. 1 Potato, boiled and chopped
  4. 1 Cucumber, chopped
  5. 1 Onion, chopped
  6. 1 Tomato, chopped
  7. 1/2 cup Green chutney
  8. 1/2 Cup Sweet chutney
  9. 1 cup Curd
  10. Red Chili Powder and Black Pepper Powder
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Chaat masala
  13. Roasted Cumin Powder
  14. Pomegranate and Sev
  15. Green Coriander Leaves, Chopped
  16. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean the paan or betel leaves.
  2. Mix the gram flour, salt with little water to make thick consistency batter.
  3. Heat the sufficient oil in wok on high flame.
  4. When oil is hot enough, spread the batter on paan leaf and fry them one by one in oil on low flame.
  5. Place the crisp and crunchy paan leaves in plate.
  6. Add chopped potatoes, onion, tomatoes, cucumber and pomegranate over the leaves.
  7. Add green chutney, sweet chutney and curd.
  8. Sprinkle salt and spices according to taste.
  9. Garnish with pomegranates, sev and green coriander on the top.
  10. Paan ki chaat is ready to serve.
