Uttapam is a south indian food. Rava uttapam very easy to make and no pre preparation is required for it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup rava/ suji
  2. 2 onion, chopped
  3. 2 tomato, chopped
  4. Sour butter milk or curd for making the batter
  5. salt as per taste
  6. Red chilli powder as per taste (Optional)
  7. Green chiili, finely cut (Optional)
  8. oil to fry 4 tbsp


  1. Mix rava / suji, buttermilk and salt to make a idli like batter and leave it for half an hour.
  2. After half an hour check the batter. It should neither be too thick nor too thin. Add red chillies if u want.
  3. Heat a non stick tava and pour the batter, keep on a low flame.
  4. Sprinkle onions and tomatoes on the upper side of the uttapam. Fry till crispy on both sides.
