ABOUT Sweet potato doughnuts. RECIPE

This is known as Kuih Keria in Malaysia. This can b easily made with a few ingredients available in our homes. We can either dip the doughnuts in sugar syrup or sprinkle powdered sugar on top .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sweet potato 100g
  2. Maida 1/4 cup
  3. Salt
  4. sugar 1tsp
  5. Oil to deep fry
  6. For the Syrup
  7. Sugar 1/2 cup
  8. water 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Peel & boil sweet potatoes. Mash it.
  2. Let it cool a bit. Then add maida, salt & sugar. Make a smooth dough. Add more maida if needed to formally dough.
  3. U can either shape like doughnuts with ur hands or cut with a doughnut cutter.
  4. Heat a pan with oil. Fry each one .Cook both sides.
  5. In another pan.add heat sugar with water.make string like consistency.
  6. Put doughnuts in sugar syrup coat all sides. Or pour syrup over doughnuts.
  7. Leave it for sometime.
  8. Try to take hot or warm.
