Ingredients to make Quick makhni dal easy

  • 2 cups moong dal [washed and soaked]
  • Hing [asafoetida] - 1/4 th tsp
  • salt
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Chat masala - 1/4 th tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Refined oil/ghee
  • cumin seeds -1 tsp

How to make Quick makhni dal easy

  1. Heat a pressure cooker pan with some oil or ghee. Add the cumin seeds and let them crackle. Then add the asafoetida.
  2. Then add the soaked moong dal, along with the spices, salt and required amount of water. Close the lid and cook until 2 to 3 whistles are attained.
  3. Once the pressure has come down, open the lid and mix the dal. Check for seasoning, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
