About Prawn Kofta Recipe

A great appetizer made with prawn.

Prawn Kofta

Ingredients to make Prawn Kofta

  • Prawns : 10
  • coconut : 1/2
  • ginger garlic paste : 1 teaspoon
  • Bengal gram : 1 teaspoon
  • egg : 1
  • shallots : 5
  • Green chilli : 2
  • turmeric : 1/4 teaspoon
  • jeera powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt : 1 teaspoon or to taste
  • oil : 2 tablespoons

How to make Prawn Kofta

  1. Add all the listed ingredients except oil in a mixie jar.
  2. Without adding water, blend into a fine paste.
  3. The paste should be similar in consistency to a vada batter.
  4. Heat oil in a tava. Take small portions of the paste and flatten them with your hands.
  5. Put the portions into the oil and fry it until it becomes golden brown in colour from both sides.
  6. Enjoy prawn kofta with tomato ketchup.
