About Malpua Recipe

Kolar Malpua is made of full ripen bananas which is a sweet dish can be served anytime to eat. It best goes with Rabri (reduced sweetened milk) and it tastes like Heaven :revolving_hearts:

Malpua

Ingredients to make Malpua

  • 2 full ripen bananas small or 1 big banana
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cardamom powder
  • 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoon of semolina or rava
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • oil for deep frying
  • 1 liter milk
  • 4-5 tablespoon of sugar
  • raisins and cashews for garnish
  • 1 cup sugar for making sugar syrup
  • 1 cup water

How to make Malpua

  1. Boil 1 liter milk and make Rabri with 4-5 tablespoon of sugar in it.
  2. In another bowl smash 2 bananas or a bigger one and semolina in it.
  3. Add sugar, all purpose flour, cardamom powder and 1/3 cup milk and mix well
  4. Heat oil for deep frying. Pour a spoon full of the batter in the oil and fry it in low flame
  5. Let it fry for a minute then turn it to fry the other side
  6. Take it out from the oil after it done and dip them in sugar syrup for 2 minutes. Make sugar syrup with 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water.
  7. Take them out from the syrup and serve with the Rabri and garnish with cashews and raisins.

My Tip:

Don’t soak the Malpua in sugar syrup for long time orelse it may break. Make 1 string sugar syrup.
