Perfect side dish for dosa, adai, chapathi.Easy to cook.

Onion chutney

Ingredients to make Onion chutney

  • onion -2
  • tomato -1
  • garlic pods - 4
  • red chilly -4
  • salt - as needed
  • jaggery - 1 teaspoon
  • To temper :
  • oil
  • mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • curry leaves - 1 spring

How to make Onion chutney

  1. Chop onion, tomatoes, garlic pods and set aside.
  2. Take a pan and heat oil. Add onion, garlic pods and red chilly.
  3. Saute well till onion turns translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook till it turns mushy.
  5. Switch off the flame and allow it to cool completely.
  6. Add salt and jaggery.
  7. Grind all together in a mixie jar using 2 teaspoon of water.
  8. Temper it with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
