Wheat flour 2 1/2 cups
Yogurt 1 cup
Baking Soda 1 Tsp
Water as required
Onion finely chopped 1 medium
Tomato finely chopped 1 medium
Green chillies finely chopped 3-4
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Aamchur powder / chaat masala 1 tsp
Salt to taste
For tempering
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves 8-10
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsps
Oil required for sauteing and tempering
Instructions
In a bowl whisk yogurt and wheat flour coarsely and add water little by little to get dosa like consistency making sure there is no lumps formation and then add salt.
Let the batter rest for 1 hour.
After letting it rest for an hour it's time to add other ingredients. Now add onion, green chillies, tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder and chaat masala and also add salt accordingly with coriander leaves. Mix this batter nicely.
Heat 2 tbsps of oil in tempering kadai and allow the oil to heat. Now add mustard seeds and let it pop, then add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Add this mixture to batter and mix it nicely.
Heat the pan and add few drops of oil in it. Now spread one laddle of batter on pan and spread it evenly. Allow it to cook till golden brown.
Serve it with ketchup or coconut chutney or mint chutney.
