Lahsuni Murg Masala

Ingredients to make Lahsuni Murg Masala

  • Medium chicken Pieces 500gms
  • turmeric powder- 1 tbsp
  • Chopped tomatoes 1 cup
  • chopped and sliced garlic- 2 heads
  • curry leaves 6
  • garam masala powder 1 tbsp
  • onions thinly sliced 2 medium
  • paprika powder -1 tbsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Lahsuni Murg Masala

  1. Wash the chicken and marinate with turmeric powder, paprika powder, salt and a little oil.
  2. Heat oil in a wok, add green chillies, curry leaves and generous amount of garlic and fry till the garlic turns golden brown.
  3. Add thinly sliced onions and fry till the oil separates
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, paprika powder, salt, cover and cook for a few mins.
  5. Add the marinated chicken and cook on high flame with frequent stirring. When the chicken is partially cooked , put the flame on low, cover and cook till the chicken is done.
  6. Half way through the cooking add a little water. Open the cover , add garam masala and cook for a few more mins.
  7. Garnish with fried sliced garlic. Serve hot with rice or paratha.

My Tip:

Add ghee (clarified butter) with oil for better taste
