About Chicken curry Recipe

This recipe is very easy to cook and tastes very good. This recipe is very popular among the Bengali people.

Chicken curry

Ingredients to make Chicken curry

  • 500gm chicken
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 2-3 clove
  • 2-3 cardamom
  • 2 finally pureed onion
  • 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tomato(pureed)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 4 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • tomato ketchup 1 tablespoon ( optional)
  • turmeric powder 1 tablespoon
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped

How to make Chicken curry

  1. Wash the chicken thoroughly, remove the skin.
  2. Heat the pan and pour oil, temper with cumin seeds, bay leaf, clove, cardamom, cinnamon and asafoetida.
  3. Fry the onion and green chilies, mix turmeric powder, red chilli powder until and unless the raw smell diminishes and the onion turns light brown, then add the ginger garlic paste and stir well.
  4. Mix the tomato puree after the previous ingredients cooked in a good manner.. Stir again.
  5. After this, mix the curd and cook this for 5 mins.
  6. Mix the garam masala powder along with the chicken and pour 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup.
  7. Cook this for 15 mins with a close lid and garnish the dish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve this with chapatti, rice.

My Tip:

This is not that much spicy food and you can enjoy this dish with rice or chapatti.
