Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. FOR KHAJLA
  2. Maida 1 1/4 cup
  3. Rawa 1/4 cup
  4. Oil 2 tsp
  5. Pure ghee solid form 2 tbsp
  6. Milk 1/4 to 1/2 cup milk.Use as much as is needed
  7. FOR FILLING
  8. Fresh whole milk malai 5 to 6 tbsp
  9. Few Kesar strands
  10. Few drops hot milk
  11. FOR SUGAR SYRUP
  12. Water 1 cup
  13. Sugar 1/2 cup
  14. Kesar few strands

Instructions

  1. TAKE FLOUR
  2. ADD SEMOLINA
  3. ADD OIL
  4. ADD PURE GHEE(SOLID FORM)
  5. MIX
  6. ADD MILK AND FORM A DOUGH
  7. DUE TO SEMOLINA THE DOUGH WILL GET HARD, ADD MILK LITTLE BY LITTLE
  8. DOUGH IS READY.LET IT REST FOR 5 MIN
  9. TAKE FLOUR AND ADD IN MELTED PURE GHEE
  10. MAKE A PASTE
  11. MAKE SURE NO LUMPS ARE FORMED
  12. TAKE THE DOUGH
  13. STARTING FROM 1 AND PRESS AND ROLL WITH THE ROLLING PIN
  14. SPREAD
  15. POUR THE GHEE AND FLOUR LIQUID AND SPREAD WITH HAND
  16. SPRINKLE DRY FLOUR
  17. START ROLLING V GENTLY
  18. REPEAT THE PROCESS IN SMALL PORTIONS TILL THE DOUGH IS ALL ROLLED UP
  19. ROLL THE DOUGH EVENLY
  20. KEEP IN A PLATE
  21. COVER WITH A DAMP MUSLIN CLOTH AND REFRIGERATE FOR 10 MINS
  22. MEANWHILE TAKE FEW KESAR STRANDS & ADD HOT MILK
  23. WHEN THE KESAR INFUSES THE COLOUR PUT IT IN FRESH MALAI AND GENTLY MIX
  24. REMOVE THE DOUGH AND CUT SMALL PCS
  25. PRESS AND ROLL THE ROUNDELS
  26. GENTLY ROLL.DO NOT SPREAD MUCH
  27. TAKE THE ROLLED DOUGH AND APPLY MILK ON THE CORNERS
  28. ADD FRESH KESAR INFUSES MALAI
  29. COVER WITH OTHER DOUGH LAYER AND PRESS FROM THE SIDES
  30. START SEALING FROM THE SIDES BY FOLDING IN
  31. IN HOT PURE GHEE V GENTLY SLIDE THE MALAI KHAJLA
  32. KEEP POURING THE GHEE FROM THE SIDES ON THE TOP
  33. FOR SUGAR SYRUP:.TAKE 1 CUP WATER AND ADD 1/2 CUP SUGAR
  34. ONCE THE SYRUP REDUCES AND THICKENS ADD FEW KESAR STRANDS
  35. TAKE THE SYRUP
  36. POUR THE HOT SYRUP ON THE MALAI KHAJLAS

Can I use fresh cream (thick one)?. N also can v store this or should be consumed immediately?
