Ripen papaya sambar gives good taste with plain rice. It has good flavour and very simple cuisine.

Ripen Papaya Sambar

Ingredients to make Ripen Papaya Sambar

  • Chopped ripen papaya 2 cup
  • onion chopped 1 cup(optional)
  • water
  • salt to taste
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • Sambar powder home made 1 tsp
  • jeera 1/4 tsp
  • tamarind small gooseberry sized
  • For seasoning..
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Cooking oil 1 tsp
  • red chilli 1
  • curry leaves few

How to make Ripen Papaya Sambar

  1. ADD CHOPPED RIPEN PAPAYA INTO BOILING WATER
  2. GRATED COCONUT 1 CUP, JEERA 1/4 TSP, SAMBAR POWDER 1 TSP
  3. TAMARIND 1 SMALL GOOSEBERRY SIZED, WATER
  4. GRIND SMOOTHLY
  5. ALMOST COOKED, ADD CHOPPED ONION 1 CUP
  6. ADD SALT AND COOK FOR 2 MINUTES IN MEDIUM FLAME
  7. OPEN THE LID, CHECK THE COOKNESS, ADD GROUND MASALA
  8. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER
  9. BRING IT TO BOIL, TURN OFF THE FLAME
  10. DO SEASONING, ADD CURRY LEAVES AND TRANSFER INTO THE CURRY
