Tomato ketchup

Ingredients to make Tomato ketchup

  • Ripe tomatoes 1.5 kg
  • Suger 1 cup
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder 1 tsp
  • White viniger 3 tsp
  • water 1/2 cup
  • cinnamon 4 strip
  • cloves 4
  • Elachi [cardamom] 3
  • pepper 1/4 spoon

How to make Tomato ketchup

  1. TAKE WASHED 1.5 KG RIPE TOMATOES
  2. REMOVE HEAD AND CUT IT IN TO 4 PIECES
  3. 1/4 TSP PEPPER PODS, CINNAMON STRIP, CLOVE, CARDAMOM
  4. PUT THOSE SPICES AND MAKE POTLI
  5. ADD TOMATOES IN COOKER
  6. ADD 1/2 CUP WATER
  7. PLACE THAT SPICE POTLI BAG ON IT
  8. KEEP FOR 4 WHISTLE
  9. ITS DONE.. TAKE OUT THE SPICE POTLI
  10. LET IT COOL AND GRIND IN TO PASTE
  11. DRAIN THE SEEDS AND SKIN
  12. REMOVE IT COMPLETELY
  13. TOMATO PURIE READY
  14. 1 CUP SUGER, 1 SPOON CHILLI POWDER, 1/2 SALT , 3TSP WHITE VINIGER
  15. NOW HEAT THE PAN AND START TO COOK THE PURIE
  16. STIR IT OFTEN
  17. NOW ADD SUGER, SALT , CHILLI POWDER
  18. ADD VINIGER AND STIR IT
  19. STIR IT AT INTERVALS.. YOU COULD SEE THE COLOUR CHANGING
  20. YOU COULD SEE THICKENING OF SAUSE
  21. CHEAK THE CONSISTENCY.. IT SHOULD CODES BACK OF THE SPOON
  22. THIS IS THE RIGHT CONSISTENCY TIME TO SWITCH OFF
  23. COOL COMPLETELY AND STORE IN CONTAINER
