Acharri Aloo Parcel

Ingredients to make Acharri Aloo Parcel

  • 4 pieces of rotis
  • 100 gm boiled aloo
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 tsp methi dana
  • 1 tsp rai seeds
  • 1 tsp kalonji
  • 1 tsp saunf
  • A pinch of hing
  • 2 tbsp imli paste
  • A pinch of haldi
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil + frying
  • For the batter:
  • 100 gm besan
  • A pinch each of hing, haldi, red chilli powder, salt and water

How to make Acharri Aloo Parcel

  1. Take a bowl, add the besan and all the dry masalas to make a thin batter.
  2. Take a pan and heat oil, when it tempers add the paanch foran masala than add hing, green chilles and mix it well. Next, add the bolied and fried aloo, imli paste and all the dry masalas and mix it well together.
  3. Take a masher and mash the mixture, than take a roti and apply this mixture. Then fold it like an envelope and dip it into the besan batter and fry it in the hot oil till it turns pink in colour.
  4. Cut into half, sprinkel chilly powder, fresh dhaniya and serve it with imli chuntey.

My Tip:

You can use your leftover sabjis to make the parcel.
