ABOUT Apple Fritters RECIPE

A cross between a jalebi and a doughnut, apple fritters are an amazing snack that works wonderfully for brunch and tea

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup Flour
  2. 1/4 cup sugar
  3. 1 tsp Baking powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 tsp Cinnamon
  6. 1 egg
  7. 1/3 cup Milk
  8. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  9. 1 tbslp melted butter
  10. 2-3 apples, the tarter the better
  11. Oil for frying
  12. For the cinnamon sugar
  13. 1 cup Icing sugar
  14. 1 tsp Cinnamon powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon, keep aside. In another bowl whisk the egg and add the melted butter, vanilla and milk.
  2. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until just combined.
  3. Heat oil in a large wok. Make thick slices of the apples. Dip the apples in the batter and deep fry for 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden. Drain and keep aside.
  4. In a small bowl mix together the powdered sugar and cinnamon. Immediately dredge the fritter in the cinnamon icing sugar.
  5. Serve warm with a cup of tea.

Nice but can we skip egg or any substitute
