ABOUT Jackfruit curry. RECIPE

A simple & easy curry with a very few ingredients. A favourite dish of most of our grand parents.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Raw jack fruit 2 cups
  2. Crushed garlic 2 cloves.
  3. Chilli powder 1 tsp ( or less according to taste)
  4. Turmeric 2 pinch.
  5. Salt
  6. Curry leaves a few
  7. Coconut oil 2 tbsp.

Instructions

  1. Remove seeds from Jack fruit & cut into small pieces. put in pressure cooker , along with some water ,Chilli powder, turmeric & salt. Cook till one or two whistles.
  2. When pressure goes , open cooker & mash the pieces with the laddle a bit. Remove from cooker.
  3. There should be enough gravy.
  4. add coconut oil & curry leaves. Stir well.
  5. Serve hot with rice. Gravy will be a bit watery. That s the taste of this curry.
