Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken 1 kg
  2. Onion 3-4 medium sized
  3. Bay leaves 1-2
  4. Black cumin seeds 1 tsp
  5. Black peppercorns 8-10
  6. Fennel Seeds 1 tsp
  7. Mace 1/2 tsp
  8. Big Cardamoms 2-3
  9. Cloves 4-5
  10. Cinnamon 1 stick
  11. Green Cardamom 4-5
  12. Green chillies 1-2
  13. Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  14. Dry red Chillies 2-3
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Ginger chopped 2 tbsp
  17. Garlic 1 tbsp
  18. Yogurt 500 gm
  19. Mustard oil 4 tbsp
  20. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  21. Cumin powder 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean the chicken in a big bowl except the yogurt, salt and onion. Mix everything well and keep it aside.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add the onion, marinated chicken and salt. Let it cook till 3-4 whistles blow.
  3. Once the pressure cools down, add the yogurt and cook till the chicken is tender and you get the desired consistency.
  4. Enjoy it with steamed rice /chappati.
