This is a delightful, healthy and easy sacks made, to be served with tea and can also be given to kids.

Cornflakes Mixture

Ingredients to make Cornflakes Mixture

  • 500 gm corn Flakes
  • 100 gm peanuts
  • 5 gm each of Toor Dal, green gram Dal, Yellow Moong Dal
  • Handful of cashews and Almonds
  • curry leaves
  • salt to taste
  • 8 tbsp Refined oil

How to make Cornflakes Mixture

  1. Soak the dals together for an hour, and dry them in dry tissue until they are dry. Take a wide wok, add 2 tbsp oil.
  2. Add in the dried dals and season them with salt for 10 minutes in slow mode.
  3. Keep them aside. Add in 2 tbsp oil and dry roast the peanuts.
  4. Keep them aside and dry roast the cashews and almonds.
  5. Keep them aside. Add in 2 tbsp oil, a pinch of turmeric, salt and chilli powder.
  6. Toss them altogether with enough salt seasoning.
  7. Absolutely healthy crunchy evening / school snack.

My Tip:

Cam add in raisins as well. And increase the dal and cashew and almond portions.
