Churros with Chocolate Dipping Sauce

ABOUT Churros with Chocolate Dipping Sauce RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 50 grams melted butter
  2. 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  3. 1 tblsp sugar
  4. 250 grams all purpose flour
  5. A pinch of salt
  6. 1 tsp baking soda
  7. 300 - 350 ml water
  8. oil to fry
  9. For the chocolate dipping sauce
  10. 200 grams dark chocolate
  11. 100 ml cream
  12. 100 ml milk
  13. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  14. A pinch of salt
  15. 2 tblsp honey
  16. For the cinnamon sugar
  17. 50 grams superfine sugar
  18. 1 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Make the batter for the churros first. Measure out the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
  2. Bring water to a rapid boil. Add vanillaand butter to it. Pour it into the flour mix and beat it quickly until it is lump-free. Keep aside.
  3. Make the dipping sauce next. In a saucepan add the milk and cream and bring to a boil. Add in the chocolate and whisk until smooth.
  4. Add vanilla and honey. Mix well and until glossy. Keep warm on simmer.
  5. Heat oil in a large saucepan. Fill dough into a piping bag which has been fitted with a star nozzle. Pipe dough directly into the hot oil in a length you wish and fry until golden brown about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
  6. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together. Drop the fried churros into the sugar mix. Repeat with remaining dough
  7. Serve with the chocolate dipping sauce.
