An easy and yummy sweet potato flatbread which is incredibly easy to make

Sweet Potato flat bread

Ingredients to make Sweet Potato flat bread

  • Boiled sweet potato 1
  • rock salt 2 spoons
  • Castor sugar 2 spoons
  • Green pear half
  • 2 cups maida/ APF
  • 2 gms yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Warm water half cup
  • olive oil 2tbsp
  • Thyme sprigs few
  • Peels of sweet potato and pear
  • Cheese mozrella 25 gms/ 2 spoons plus 2 tsp for topping on flat bread
  • To serve with :
  • Lettuce leaves and tomato salad
  • Black pepper powder to sprinkle on salad
  • olive oil 1 tsp fir drizzle on salad

How to make Sweet Potato flat bread

  1. Mix 2 GM's of yeast in half a cup of Luke warm water with 1 tsp sugar
  2. Mix it vigoursly and place in warm place for 10 minutes to activate
  3. In a bowl peel and chop sweet potato
  4. Don't discard the skin. Keep it
  5. Cut and peel half green pear. Keep the peels
  6. Mash sweet potato and pear nicely
  7. Next mix in maida, castor sugar, rock salt, olive oil in mashed sweet potato and pear mixture
  8. Next add grated mozrella cheese and thyme
  9. Now make a well in the centre of whole mixture and pour activated yeast.
  10. Knead the soft dough
  11. Roll the dough rectangular and cut it in half
  12. make long 2 broad strips
  13. stretch it and Pinch corners to make design
  14. Place mozrella cheese pieces on flat bread
  15. Place sweet potato and pear skins
  16. Sprinkle some olive oil and black pepper powder
  17. Bake in preheated oven by laying parchment paper on baking tray, for 15 to 18 Minutes
  18. Once cooled take it out
  19. Serve with Olive oil salt lettuce tomatoes and salt pepper
