Its my dadis yummy recipe.tea powder os added when chole boiled and get blackish colour.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Kabuli chana 1 cup
  2. 1 teaspoon tea powder
  3. Salt as par tast
  4. Soda 1/2teaspoon
  5. For gravy
  6. 2 tomatoes
  7. 2 onion
  8. Garlic clove5_6
  9. Green chilli3 no
  10. Coriander 1 tablespoon
  11. 1 teaspoons twd chilli powder
  12. 1 teaspoo chole masala
  13. 1 /2teaspoon amchur powder
  14. 1/2teaspoon daniya powder
  15. Salt to tast
  16. Oil 2 tablespoon
  17. Cumin seed1/2teas3

Instructions

  1. SOAK 1 CUP CHICKPEAS FOR 7-8 HOURS
  2. WASH, ADD FRESH WATER, SALT TO TASTE, 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
  3. ADD 1 TEA BAG
  4. PRESSURE COOK UPTO 2 WHISTLES
  5. REMOVE THE TEA BAG FROM THE BOILED CHICKPEAS, STRAIN, KEEP ASIDE
  6. BOIL 2 TOMATOES TILL SOFT, COOL, BLEND IN A MIXER JAR
  7. STRAIN THE READY TOMATO PUREE, KEEP ASIDE
  8. ADD 1 CHOPPED ONION, 5-6 GARLIC CLOVES, 2 GREEN CHILLIES, 1 TSP CORIANDER TO A MIXER JAR, BLEND
  9. GRIND INTO A FINE PASTE LIKE THIS
  10. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS
  11. ADD A FEW CURRY LEAVES, 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA
  12. ADD THE GROUND PASTE
  13. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF KASURI METHI & RED CHILLI POWDER
  14. ADD 1/2 TSP AMCHUR POWDER, 1 TSP EACH OF CORIANDER POWDER & CHOLE MASALA
  15. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, SALT TO TASTE, 1 TSP CAROM SEEDS, SAUTE FOR 2-3 MINS
  16. ADD THE SIEVED TOMATO PUREE
  17. ADD THE BOILED CHICKPEAS, SIMMER FOR 2 MINS
