Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. apples 2
  2. oats flour 3 tbsp
  3. corn starch 2 tbsp
  4. cinnamon powder 1 tsp
  5. icing sugar to dust
  6. honey to drizzle 2 tbsp or a little more
  7. oil to deep fry
  8. lime juice (2 tsp) diluted with water 1 cup
  9. egg 1
  10. milk 1/4 cup
  11. pinch of salt
  12. baking powder 1 pinch


  1. Peel, core and slice the apples in thick roundels.
  2. Dip the apple slices in lime water and drain.
  3. Blend the oats flour, corn starch, pinch of salt, baking powder, egg and milk together to make a smooth batter with the help of wire whisk .
  4. Heat oil, dip each slice of apple in the batter and fry in the oil.
  5. Drain the deep fried apple fritters on tissue paper briefly and repeat the frying process for all apple slices.
  6. Serve the fritters dusted with cinnamon, icing sugar and drizzle honey over them.
  7. Ice cream or clotted cream make a good accompaniment to them.
