About Rassam Recipe

This is south indian traditionalcuisine its like soup it can be consumed as it is or with rice its made of lentils tamarind pulp and tomato pulp , I have used here rassam masala , usually this is best one for winters and rainy season I enjoy this with rice

Ingredients to make Rassam

  • 1Cup boiled and mashed tuvar dal
  • 2Cups of tomato puree
  • 1Tbsp of tamarind juice
  • salt to taste
  • 1Tsp tamarind juice
  • 1Tsp cummin seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp.of mustard seeds
  • Pinch of asafoiedita
  • 2Tsp of ghee
  • Some curry leaves
  • 1Green chilly
  • 1Tsp rasam masala

How to make Rassam

  1. ADD 2TSP OF GHEE TO PAN
  2. ADD PINCH OF ASAFOEIDITA ,1/2 TSP EACH CUMMIN SEEDS AND MUSTARD SEEDS
  3. ADD 1 GREEN CHILLY AND SOME CURRY LEAVES
  4. 1 TSP OF RED CHILLY POWDER AND 1 CUP OF BOILED AND MASHED TUVAR DAL
  5. MIX IT WITH SPOON
  6. ADD 2CUPS OF TOMATO PUREE
  7. ADD 1TSP OF CORRIANDER POWDER , 1/2 TSP EACH OF TURMERIC POWDER AND AAMCHUR POWDER
  8. ADD SALT TO TASTE , RASSAM MASALA , AND 1TBSP OF TAMARIND JUICE AND COOK FOR 10 MINUTES
  9. REMOVE IN BOWL
  10. ITS READY TO SERVE
