Ingredients to make Vegetable balls in Red gravy

  • For vegetable balls :
  • potato -1
  • Sweet potato-1
  • Green peas -1/4 cup
  • Green capsicum -1/4 cup
  • Garam masala -1/2 teaspoon
  • chilli powder-1/2 teaspoon
  • pepper powder -1/2 teaspoon
  • lemon juice-1 teaspoon
  • Corn flour-2 teaspoon
  • Chopped Red capsicum-2
  • chopped tomato-2
  • Grated carrot-1
  • onion-1
  • Green chilli-1
  • ginger garlic paste -1 table spoon
  • cinnamon-1 stick
  • Cardomom-2
  • bay leaf -1
  • jeera -1 teaspoon
  • chilli powder-1 teaspoon
  • coriander powder-1 teaspoon
  • garam masala-1/2 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • milk -1/4 cup
  • Kasuri methi -1/2 teaspoon
  • oil for shallow fry

How to make Vegetable balls in Red gravy

  1. Pressure cook potato, sweet potato,green peas for two whistles.
  2. Add all other ingredients given under vegetable balls and mix them well.
  3. Make balls and shallow fry them .Keep aside
  4. In a kadai add two tablespoons of oil and fry onion, ginger garlic paste,tomato,red capsicum, carrots for about five minutes and grind into fine paste
  5. In dame kadai ,add a spoon of oil and add cardamom Cinnamon bay leaf , elachi and jeera .Then add the ground paste along with all spice powder given under gravy and fry until oil leaves sides of pan
  6. Add milk now and allow to boil.
  7. Drop in the vegetable balls and switch off the flame.add kasuri methi to garnish.

My Tip:

We can add veggies of our choice for balls .Add the balls to gravy just before serving.
