ABOUT Chicken Chilli RECIPE

Easy Chinese dish with an Indian twist.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250gms boneless chicken
  2. ½ cup of plain flour
  3. ¼ cup of cornflour
  4. 1 tsp of Ginger Garlic paste
  5. 1 tsp of soya sauce
  6. ½ tsp of ground black pepper
  7. ¼ tsp of Kashmiri chilli powder
  8. 3 tbsp of oil
  9. 1 cup of cubed onions
  10. ½ cup of cubed capsicum
  11. ½ cup of cabbage
  12. 4-5 green chillies, slit
  13. 1 tsp of chopped garlic
  14. 1 tsp of grated ginger
  15. 1 tsp of vinegar
  16. minced spring onions for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Clean and cut the chicken pieces into bite-sized cubes Prepare the rest of the ingredients and keep it ready Mix all the ingredients for the batter and add enough water to make a thick batter.
  2. Add the chicken to this.
  3. Heat oil for deep frying, When the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces thoroughly coated in the batter.
  4. Fry on medium heat until golden brown. set aside to drain.
  5. Heat oil and add the onions, ginger, garlic, and green chillies.
  6. Saute until the onions turn transparent and soft.
  7. Then add the soya sauce and vinegar .Saute for 2 more minutes.
  8. Then add the fried chicken pieces, cabbage and capsicum.
  9. Sprinkle some water and cover the pan, Cook on very low heat for 4-5 mins or until the ingredients come together nicely.
  10. Garnish with spring onions.
