This is a traditional Bengali sweet which has mild sweetness and very easy to make.

Kachagolla made with date Palm jaggery

Ingredients to make Kachagolla made with date Palm jaggery

  • 1 litre full cream milk
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2tbsp date palm jaggery

How to make Kachagolla made with date Palm jaggery

  1. Boil milk and add the vinegar till it curdles
  2. Drain the water and wash the cottage cheese with water for minutes
  3. Next keep it hanged for at least for 20 minutes
  4. Now with your Palm mash the chhena or cottage cheese nicely till you feel oily in your palm
  5. Melt the jaggery with a tbsp of water in a pan or microwave it.
  6. Let it cool down a bit
  7. Then add this jaggery to the chhena or cottage cheese
  8. Mix nicely and made equal balls
  9. As it is very soft I prefer to keep them in paper cups
  10. Chill them for an hour and serve
