About Homemade Bounty Bars Recipe

Homemade bounty bars are so easy to make-you only need three imgredients.A simple combination of coconut and condensed milk will recreate the filling of the classic choclate bar.

Homemade Bounty Bars

Ingredients to make Homemade Bounty Bars

  • Desiccated coconut 200gms
  • Milkmaid 1 Can
  • Dark choclate cut into small pieces 200gms

How to make Homemade Bounty Bars

  1. Lined baking tray with parchment paper and keep aside for later use.
  2. In a bowl add desiccated coconut.
  3. Pour milkmaid over the coconut and stir until everything mixed well.
  4. Paste is sticky and thick.
  5. Take a handful of coconut mixture and shape into rectangular bars .
  6. Press firmly to make sure the bars will keep their shape.
  7. Arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and put in the refrigerate for 30 minutes .
  8. This will make the candy firm and easy to handle while you dip in choclate.
  9. Add dark choclate pieces in microwave safe bowl and heat on high power for 1 minute.
  10. Stir well and heat again for 1 minute.
  11. Repeat the process until the choclate has melted.
  12. Take out 2-3 coconut bars from the refrigerator at a time and leave others in the fridge.
  13. Using 2 forks,dip one bar in melted choclate and roll it to cover all over.
  14. Using one fork ,remove bar from choclate and place on wire rack to harden .
  15. Place tray under the wire rack to catch excess choclate.
  16. Same way dip all the bars in choclate .
  17. Once little set arrange again on lined baking tray and keep in refrigerator to set .
  18. Bounty bars are ready to serve.

My Tip:

Choclate can be melted by double boiler method. Keep the bars in fridge before dipping in choclate is mandatory.
