Ingredients to make Wheat Flour Jaggery Gujiya

  • water 1 cup
  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour 1 cup
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • Cooking oil 4 tsp
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • jaggery 1 cup
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Dry fruits powder 1/4 cup
  • Chopped dry fruits 2 tsp
  • Wheat flour 1/2 cup for dust
  • Cooking oil for deep fry

How to make Wheat Flour Jaggery Gujiya

  1. TAKE 1 CUP WATER AND 1 CUP WHEAT FLOUR
  2. RICE FLOUR 1/2 CUP, SALT
  3. MIX WELL
  4. ADD OIL, MIX WELL TILL GET CRUMBLY TEXTURE
  5. COVER WELL KNEADED STIFF DOUGH FOR HALF AN HOUR
  6. GRATED COCONUT
  7. CARDAMOM POWDER, DRY FRUITS POWDER, CHOPPED DRY FRUITS
  8. MIX WELL
  9. CHECK THE DOUGH, KNEAD ONCE
  10. DEVIDE INTO SMALL BALLS
  11. SMEAR SOME WHEAT FLOUR, ROLL THE BALLS
  12. SMALL CIRCLE READY, MARK LINES BY USING KNIFE
  13. KEEP ASIDE, MAKE ONE MORE CIRCLE
  14. PLACE THE LINED CIRCLE ON IT AND PRESS THE EDGES
  15. FILL THE STUFFING ON PLAIN SIDE
  16. CLOSE CAREFULLY AND PRESS THE EDGES
  17. TAKE THE FORK AND PRESS THE EDGES TO GIVE SHAPES
  18. FRY IN HOT OIL WITH LOW FLAME
  19. FLIP AND FRY TO GET CRISPY BOTH THE SIDES
  20. FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN, REMOVE ON KITCHEN TOWEL, AND SERVE
