Paneer Dilkhush is one of the vegetarian dish which contains less oil and less spices which keeps you healthy and happy. So the name itself resembled the happiness contains in the recipe . Dilkhush means a happy heart . While preparing the dish it gives u immense pleasure from the aroma of the herbs used in the dish . .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Paneer /Cottage Cheese – 200gm
  2. Chopped Onion -2
  3. Garlic cloves – 4
  4. Green chilli -1
  5. Chilli powder -1/2 tbsp
  6. Coriander powder -1/2 tbsp
  7. Garam Masala -1 tbsp
  8. Ghee -1tbsp
  9. Curd-1 tbsp
  10. White oil -2 tbsp
  11. Kasuri methi -1 tbsp
  12. Cashew nuts -5-6 pc
  13. Raisins -5-6 pc
  14. Sugar -3 tbsp
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Cut the Paneer in a big Cube like shape and keep aside .( sometimes the paneer get hard while refrigerate so in order to make it soft put them in hot water for sometime )
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan , fry the chopped onion , garlic , ginger paste, cashew nuts , raisins and chopped tomato till golden brown . In a mixer bowl put all the fried veggies along with 1 tbsp of Garam Masala , 1/2 tbsp chilli powder and 1 tbsp curd and mix well to make a paste .
  3. Now put 1 tbsp of oil in that used pan and put the paste and sauté well . Though the veggies are already fried and cooked well so it will take lil time to prepare the dish
  4. Add salt and sugar to taste , coriander powder and required water to make the gravy . This preparation is lil sweet and tangy in taste so it contains some more sugar as usual .
  5. Add 1/2 tbsp of ghee and kasuri methi when the preparation is about to done and put the paneer cubes and cook for some minutes .
  6. Paneer Dilkhush is ready to serve with roti or parantha .
