Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice - 1 cup
  2. Grating beetroot - 1 number
  3. Water - required
  4. For masala- dry paste
  5. Cinnamon - 1 inch
  6. Cloves- 2 number
  7. Cardamom - 2 number
  8. fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  9. Cumin - half tsp
  10. Pepper - half tsp
  11. Ginger - 1 inch
  12. Garlic - 6 cloves
  13. Remaining ingredients:
  14. Oil - 2 tbsp
  15. Ghee - 1 tbsp
  16. Chopped onion - 1 number
  17. Red chilli - 3 number
  18. Curry leaves - 10 number
  19. Peas - ouater cup
  20. Salt - required
  21. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Soak rice in water 20 minutes.
  2. In a mixer jar add masala things grind in dry paste.
  3. Heat a pressure cooker,Add oil and ghee.
  4. Add chopped coriander leaves,onion,redchili, Curry leaves and saute till the onion's are nicely browned.
  5. Add masala paste and add beetroot, Peas and fry for 3 minutes.
  6. Add drained rice and combine well for a minute.
  7. Add water and salt.
  8. Close the cooker with its lid. Place the whistle on it and cook till 1 whistle.
  9. Remove the cooker from the heat. let the pressure subside open the lid.
  10. Fluff the rice with a fork. This can be served as a main dish with raitha or potato masala fry.
