Prawn masala kootu

Ingredients to make Prawn masala kootu

  • Prawns cleaned,rinsed,drained-1/2 kg
  • For marination:-
  • chilli powder-1-2 tsp
  • Cumin,Fennel,turmeric powder- each 1/2 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
  • salt - to taste.
  • Oil- 1-2 tbsp coconut oil
  • onion chopped -1
  • tomato pureed-1
  • Green chilli slitted-1
  • Chopped coriander,curry leaves - few

How to make Prawn masala kootu

  1. MARINATE1/2 KG PRAWNSWITH2 TSPCHILLI POWDER,TURMERIC,CUMIN,FENNELPOWDER-EACH1/2TSP1 TSPGINGER GARLIC
  2. HEAT 1 TBSP COCONUT OIL AND ADD MARINATED PRAWNS.
  3. SAUTE IT.
  4. ADD ONE CHOPPED ONION,1 PUREED TOMATO,1 SLIT GREEN CHILLI,CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES,SALT TO TASTE.
  5. STIR WELL AND CLOSE WITH LID.COOK FOR 5 MINUTES IN A MEDIUM FLAME.
  6. ALLOW PRAWNS TO COOK IN ITS OWN JUICE.
  7. COOK GENTLY TILL DONE.
  8. ADD 1 TSP COCONUT OIL AND CHOPPED CURRY LEAVES.MIX AND TRANSFER TO A BOWL.
