Lamb tribe curry with brinjal

Ingredients to make Lamb tribe curry with brinjal

  • Cleaned Lamb tribe-300 gm
  • Brinjal- 300 gm
  • Toor dal-50 gm
  • Chopped large onion-1
  • Chopped large tomato-1
  • Green chilli-2
  • Chopped coriander,curry leaves- few
  • curd 1 tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste-2+1 tsp
  • Garam masala-1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  • Curry masala-1-2 tbsp
  • coconut milk 1 cup medium thickness or
  • (coconut paste - 1/2 cup)
  • oil-3 tbsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Lamb tribe curry with brinjal

  1. CLEAN LAMB TRIBE THOROUGHLY.
  2. RINSE (300 GM ) LAMB TRIBE SEVERAL TIMES WITH HOT WATER AND CUT INTO PIECES.
  3. KEEP ALL THE INGREDIENTS READY.
  4. IN A PRESSURE COOKER ADD 3-4 CUPS WATER, LAMB TRIBE,1 TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER.
  5. MIX WELL.
  6. PRESSURE COOK FOR 30 MINUTES.
  7. WHEN FIRST WHISTLE COME, KEEP THE FLAME MEDIUM LOW.
  8. AFTER 30 MINUTES CHECK WHETHER IT IS DONE.
  9. ADD 50 GM SOAKED TOOR DAL TO THE COOKED LAMB TRIBE.
  10. AGAIN PRESSURE COOK FOR 2 WHISTLES.
  11. PREPARE BRINJAL MASALA FOR ADDING TO THE LAMB TRIBE CURRY.HEAT 3 TBSP OIL ,ADD ONE LARGE CHOPPED ONION.WASH BRINJAL CUT INTO QUARTERS.
  12. FRY ONION INTO GOLDEN BROWN COLOUR.
  13. ADD 2 TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND HALF TSP GARAM MASALA.
  14. ADD 1 LARGE CHOPPED TOMATOES AND GREEN CHILLIES.ADD SALT TO TASTE.
  15. SAUTE IT,ADD 1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER AND 1-2 TBSP CURRY MASALA.
  16. COOK FOR A MINUTE,ADD CUT BRINJALS.
  17. STIR IT,ADD 1/2 CUP OF WATER.
  18. CLOSE WITH LID,COOK TILL IT BECOMES TENDER.
  19. NOW CHECK,DAL AND LAMB TRIBE READY.
  20. POUR IT TO BRINJAL MASALA.MIX WELL.
  21. ADD ONE CUP MEDIUM THICK COCONUT MILK OR 1/2 CUP COCONUT PASTE.
  22. LET IT BOIL,ADD CHOPPED CORIANDER AND CURRY LEAVES.
  23. ADD SALT TO TASTE.
  24. NOW TRADITIONAL LAMB TRIBE CURRY WITH BRINJAL READY.
  25. SERVE IN A BOWL.
  26. SUPER DELICIOUS !
