About Chana Masala Recipe

Its a simple yet yumilicious dish.

Chana Masala

Ingredients to make Chana Masala

  • Chikpeas/chana - 200grams
  • salt - as per taste
  • Tamrind - 1pulp
  • oil - 2tablepsoon
  • cumin seeds - 1tablepsoon
  • water - 1& 1/2cup or as required
  • Chikpea flor - 3tablepsoon
  • Red chiilie powder - 1tablespoon
  • cumin & corrainder powder - 2tablespoon
  • curry leaves - handful
  • cilantro - For garnishing

How to make Chana Masala

  1. Soak the chikpeas for 7-8hours.
  2. Than pressure cool the chikpeas by adding water and cumin seeds.
  3. In a pan add oil than add curry leaves than add red chilli powder & cumin and corrainder powder add salt mix well than add tamrind and 1/2cup water.
  4. Once it takes a boil add the chikpeas cook for 5mins.
  5. Take gram flor add 1/4cup water to it mix well than pour this mixture in the chikpeas.
  6. Cook for about 5mins than garnish it with some cilantro.
