About Rose Kalakand Recipe

This is an Indian sweet made up of cottage cheese ( paneer), sweetened with condensed milk, flavoured with rose syrup and garnished with Pistachio.

Ingredients to make Rose Kalakand

  • 225 Grams of grated fresh paneer
  • 3/4th Tin of Condensed Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons rose Sryup
  • 1/2 Teaspoon pistachio powder
  • 1/ 2 Teaspoon Green cardamoms Powder
  • Slivered pistachio for garnishing

How to make Rose Kalakand

  1. In a non-stick pan combine paneer and condensed milk together and cook on medium low heat.
  2. Stir continuously for 15- 20 minutes until mixture thickens a bit.
  3. Add rose syrup and mix well.
  4. Stir continuously until mixtures thickens and starts leaving the sides of pan.
  5. Do not over-cook mixture or else paneer will turn dry and chewy.
  6. Add pistachio powder and cardamom powder and give it quick mix.
  7. Pour mixture in a greased pplate and garnish it with slivered pistachio.
  8. Let it cool down completely.
  9. Run knife and cut it into squares.
  10. If refrigerated it stays fresh upto 3-4 days.
