ABOUT Mustard cream sauce RECIPE

A beautiful creamy and extremely versatile sauce that is ready in a matter of minutes. Spoon it over baked chicken, baked potatoes or even some egg sandwich. My favorite way of pairing it is with chicken stuffed crepes.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Flour 1 tbsp
  2. Butter 2 tbsp
  3. Milk - 1/2 cup
  4. Fresh cream - 1/2 cup
  5. Dijon mustard - 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
  7. Grated nutmeg 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter in a saucepan till its melted. Add the flour and whisk till smooth.
  2. Add the milk and keep whisking vigorously making sure there's no lumps, then reduce the heat to low, add the cream and let it cook for 2-3 mins.
  3. Remove from heat, add the mustard and whisk. Add salt and pepper, stir and adjust taste accordingly.
  4. Serve as desired.
