ABOUT Lehsuni Methi Paneer RECIPE

There are variety  of delicious paneer dishes that you come across  in restaurant's  menu card,mainly in North Indian Restaurent.Lehsuni Methi Paneer dish is one of them. A rich,creamy paneer gravy made with roasted crushed dry fenugreek  leaves or methi and chopped garlic.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Paneer-100grams
  2. Green chillies-4
  3. 1 tablespoon kasuri methi or dry fenugreek leaves
  4. Cashew nuts-8
  5. Curd or yogurt-1teaspoon
  6. Fresh cream-2tablesooons
  7. Ginger -1 inch
  8. Garlic-8 cloves +8 cloves
  9. Garam masala powder-1teasooon
  10. Butter-1teasooon
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Coriander leaves-1/4cup(chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak cashew nuts or kajus in a bowl of water for 1hour then drain the water and grind cashew to make a smooth paste adding little water
  2. Add ginger,garlic and green chillies in a mixer grinder and grind adding littl water
  3. Take paneer cubes in a big bowl
  4. Add ginger garlic and chilli paste,cream,curd or yoghurt,cashew or kajus paste,salt  and mix all them properly.
  5. Heat oil in a pan,add the paneer mixture,stir it with light spatula as paneer is very soft.
  6. Heavy spatula can break the paneer.Cook it on low flame,add salt.
  7. Dry roast fenugreek leaves and crush them with hands and then add into the paneer.
  8. Mix and stir properly,add 1/4cup warm waterLet the water boil,when the water will get start boiling then cover the lid.
  9. Cook for 2minutes and switch off the gas.
  10. Heat butter in a another pan and add chopped garlic ,when the garlic  will be started browining then add this into the paneer gravy and mix
  11. Transfer this into a serving bowl,add chopped coriander leaves and serve.
  12. Enjoy with roti,Paratha or rice.
